When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
+Spd or +Res / -Def
The best IVs for Linoan are +Spd or +Res and -Def. As a fast Staff Infantry unit, Linoan relies on her Spd to prevent her foe's follow-up attacks.
A more support-oriented Linoan with investment in Res-based skills like Atk/Res Havoc will want a Res boon instead.
Def is Linoan's least important stat and can be safely taken as a bane as it won't impact any of her matchups.
+Res for a +10 merge
We recommend +Res when merging Linoan up to +10. At maximum merges, she is likely to receive investment on her build as well, and is best served with Res-based support skills. A Res boon improves the potency of those skills, making it the ideal boon at full investment.

Linoan is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

In the Fold+ provides long distance support
Linoan's inheritable weapon In the Fold+ grants Atk/Spd+5 to all allies within 3 rows and 3 columns centered on Linoan and neutralizes their stat penalties during combat.
In combat, In the Fold+ grants Linoan Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5, up to +15 bonus true damage based on number of allies within 3 rows or 3 columns, and neutralizes Linoan's stat penalties.
In the Fold+ will be used mostly for the support effect, and the bonus true damage can help chip in some decent offensive power if necessary. Linoan shouldn't be the primary attacker in a team and she should be relegated to support.

Lack of Unique Skills
Linoan suffers from not having any unique skills to call her own, making her unable to stand out amongst other units.
Staff Infantry units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Linoan replaceable by better units.
Low Physical Bulk
Linoan's low base 39 HP and 20 Def leaves her vulnerable to physical attackers.
Keep her out of range of these enemies to ensure her survival!
