| Repel the attack with a shield attack and aim and attack when you get the chance. |
Lizalfos are strong enemies that can immediately dodge attacks. When dealing with Lizalfos, try to be as patient as possible and never attack continuously, as they will immediately counter after you attack.

Slice the Unprotected Side of Lizalfos
Sometimes, Lizalfos will block a side with their big arm shield, when that happens, simply slice or attack the unprotected side. This attack pattern is fast so stay on your toes.
Strike When Lizalfos Uses Flamethrower
Lizalfos are vulnerable while they are using their Flamethrower. Use a verical or horizontal Spin Attack to knock them down and finish with a Fatal Blow.
Shoot Lizalfos from the Back with a Bow
After you get a bow from the Sandship, you can beat Lizalfos from afar. As long as Lizalfos are not alerted by your presence (they will block projectiles when they are in combat), you can shoot them with a Bow.
