• Clear Builders of a Legacy

You can start Desdemona, the Subterranean by completing all the requirements listed above and then interacting with the Mission Control board in the Administrative District.

Do note that while you've completed all the unlock requirements for this Basic Mission, it is possible that it may not show up on the Mission Control board since the missions are random. You can reroll missions by hopping in and out of the Mission Control board.

How to Get to Desdemona Without a Skell

Quest Info
To start the Desdemona, the Subterranean basic mission, you must first clear Chapter 3 for it to show up on Mission Control. Accept the request to officially begin the mission.

2 After accepting the mission, your only objective is to find and slay Desdemona, the Subterranean.

Fast travel to Rustpool Banks in Noctilum you’ll need to go on foot for this one, as Skells aren't unlocked this early in the game yet. However, you can take this mission later on once you have one.

After fast traveling to FN Site 222, climb up the giant tree before you and jump to the cliff on your left.

Desdemona Location
You can find Desdemona, the Subterranean at the southwestern edge of the quest area, atop a cliff. Look up with your camera — the enemy will spawn above you. Defeat it to complete the mission.
