Use Duplicators and Booster Probes

Use Duplicators and Booster Probes

Generally, the best layout, at any point of the game, consists of a probe chain, a duplicator probe, and a booster probe.

A duplicator probe will copy the effect of all nearby probes. If you connect it with booster probes and a probe of your choice (mining, research, or storage), its output will be greatly increased.

Always consider this layout when you are optimizing the probes you currently have, especially if you need a specific resource.

Change Probes For What You Need

There is no one best probe setup because what you need will be based on game progress.

You should regularly adjust your FrontierNav to get what you need for crafting gear and augments or for missions.

Generally, you should collect Credits in the early game. Then, focus on Miranium and Precious Resources in the mid to late game for augments and equipment.

For easier resource management, it is recommended to have enough Storage to hold twice the Miranium you can produce.

Change the layouts of your probes if you need a certain Precious Resource like Bonjelium. Connect them to Booster Probes for a higher chance of obtaining them.

It is important to focus on Storage because the extra Miranium you produce will be discarded.

Alternatively, you could invest in Storage instead of Mining or Credits, if you need a huge sum of Miranium.

Most of the mentioned FN Sites have a poor grade for Mining and/or Revenue. You can add Storage Probes in other regions with similar FN Sites.

Oblivia is the best region for Credits. You can setup other regions for Miranium to maintain a good amount of revenue for both resources.

In the late game, you can change these probes to Storage or Mining probes if you need to focus on Miranium or Precious Resource farming.
