Data Probes will automatically farm materials in several minute intervals. It takes 30 minutes to farm Miranium, 15 minutes for Credits, and every 5 minutes it will cycle through each region collecting Precious Resources.

As of writing, there is currently no known info if Volitaris will have FN Data Probes, but it is likely as the new Hresvelg Skell frame could require materials from this region.

How to Maximize Data Probe Rewards

Chain Probes and Install Booster and Duplicator Probes

Chain Combination Production Increse
3 Probes + 30%
5 Probes + 50%
8 Probes + 80%

If you link together the same probes on a line in the FrontierNav map, their overall output will increase by how many are in a chain. They must also be of the same grade. Booster and Duplicator Probes are also great for further boosting your income.
FrontierNav Revenue Guide

Optimal Data Probe Location

While there is no best way to set your FN Sites up, make sure to always chain your Probes and you should be fine. Make sure to also keep an eye out for the FN Sites with the Precious Resources you need.

A great example of maximizing income is to form two separate chains within Primordia and Oblivia, then connect them on FN Site 117 with a Duplicator Probe, then have a Booster Probe on FN Site 120.
