| ・Meet Lao near Sylvalum's Seabird's Beak. ・Head to the Lifehold unit in Sulvalum's Shivering Sands. ・Achieve all objectives: ┗ Defeat Ga Jiarg ┗ Ga Buidhe ┗ Defeat the Wrothian Warriors. ・Achieve all objectives: ┗ Defeat the Vasara ┗ Defeat the Deva Caladar. ・Enter the Maintenance Center in New LA's Administrative District. |

| 1 |  Before starting the quest, make sure to install a data probe at Sylvalum's entrance as this is a requirement for the chapter. |
| 2 |  To begin Chapter 9, ensure you have completed the The Gathering mission, the Spy Games Affinity Mission, in addition to the step mentioned above. Also, your party must only include you, Elma, and Lin. Once these requirements are met, head to the conference room in the BLADE Barracks to accept the mission. A cutscene will play, officially starting the chapter. |
| 3 |  After the cutscene, follow the quest marker to meet Lao. After the cutscene follow the quest marker again. On you way, you'll encounter several enemies you can fight or evade and several spots where you can install a probe. Another cutscene will start when you get to the pinned location. |
| 4 |  After the cutscene, a series of boss battles will ensue. Make sure you've acquired the Skell License at this point and have upgraded what you can to make the fight easier. ▶ Chapter 10: The Zu Pharg Menace |
