How to Get Fashion Gear

Fashion gear can be obtained by simply getting armor. Each time a new armor is obtained, the equivalent fashion gear option for that armor will be added to the player's collection.

Sakuraba BLADE Suit (Prototype) Fashion Gear

The Sakuraba BLADE Suit (Prototype) fashion gear is already available from the start of the story. It's the default fashion gear of the main character, which can be changed later on upon obtaining new fashion gear.

Recruitable Characters

Recruiting more characters is also a way to get fashion gear. Since characters have their own armor when they are recruited, their armor becomes part of the player's inventory, unlocking their corresponding fashion gear automatically.

How to Change Fashion Gear

Access Fashion Gear through Main Menu

Xenoblade Chronices X - Fashion Gear
To change your gear’s appearance, open the Main Menu and navigate to the Fashion Gear option. This feature allows you to customize the look of your current gear without affecting its stats.

You can select gear pieces you’ve obtained and apply their appearance while keeping the benefits of your best equipment.

Equipped Armor stats are kept in both cases!

Fashion Gear are purely cosmetic items in the game. It does not affect a character's stats nor anything about the character.

Moreover, it does not change the character's currently-equipped armor when changing fashion gear. The stats, effect, and all that's related to the armor will still be applied to the character regardless of the fashion gear.

How to Change Appearance

Comes in Sets

Fashion Gear comes in sets in which each Fashion Gear set name has a variant for each body part.

Given that Fashion Gear are cosmetic, there are no bonuses when equipping a complete set.

Thanks for the images - could you also put the Female versions of these? Several gear pieces look different on female characters (and not just the swimsuits).
