Many of the Raygun arts deal a lot of damage, such as Beam Barrage, Beam Bomber, and Bahamut Wave.
Rayguns are ranged weapons that fire projectiles slowly compared to other ranged weapons. However, the damage per projectile is higher, making up for its slow attack speed.

Rayguns are the standard ranged weapons of the Enforcer, Psycorruptor, and Mastermind classes. Players can't change their weapon type once they've selected their class. The only way to do so is by changing classes.
