Tyrants have distinct appearances, which makes them unique, in addition to having higher stats and sometimes unique abilities. Most Tyrants are also named, meaning they have unique names accompanied by a title.

The HP and Name frame are different between Tyrants and normal enemies. Tyrant frames have spirals on both sides, making it easy to distinguish them from regular enemies. Although, they share a similar design to boss frames, where bosses have more spirals on their frames.
Superbosses are enemy Tyrants with very high stats and level. They are very difficult to take down, so you'll have to be well prepared, as in equipping the right skills and equipment to defeat them in combat.

Tyrants respawn in the overworld by fast traveling back to a landmark near a Tyrant's location. If that doesn't work, try defeating the normal monster that replaced it and fast travel back to the location again.
