How to Farm Precious Resources
Install Data Probes on FN Sites
Installing probes in the proper FrontierNav Site will automatically mine ore like Miranium and other Precious Resources for you every 30 minutes of gameplay.
Each Probe site will vary in its yield so make sure you put your high level probes on the location where you want a specific Precious Resource is at!

Probes Will Cycle Mining Precious Resources Every 5 Minutes per Region

Data Probes will automatically farm materials in several minute intervals. It takes 30 minutes to farm Miranium, 15 minutes for Credits, and every 5 minutes it will cycle through each region collecting Precious Materials.
As of writing, there is currently no known info if Volitaris will have Precious Resources, but it is likely as the new Hresvelg Skell frame could require materials from this region.
Mining Probes Will Give More Resources, But Are Not Necessary
Installing Mining Probes increase the yield compared to other probes so it is recommended to use your highest level Mining Probe at the location you wish to farm at. Chaining Mining Probes and putting nearby Duplicators and Boosters can also further increase yield
Materials Cannot be Idle Farmed
You have to continuously move around the world if you want to farm any materials from Data Probes. Leaving your device on Sleep Mode or just being idle in the game will slowly stop any production.
If you have a controller with stick drift, or hold the joysticks down to continuously move in a loop, you can go and do an AFK Farm, but you do need to keep your device on for this.

Needed to Craft Any Equipment
Precious Materials are required to craft a plethora of items in the game, from Weapons, Armor, Augments, Skell Frames, Skell Armor, Skell Augments, and Skell Weapons.
