What are Enemy Auras?

Buffs That Strengthen Enemies in Battle

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition - Beat Enemies in Groups
Enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles X also use auras to gain advantages in battle, just like the player. Enemy Auras are special states that enhance their stats or modify their behavior, making them more dangerous and unpredictable.

These auras often activate under specific conditions, such as when an enemy's health drops below a certain threshold or when a particular appendage is destroyed.

Some common enemy Auras:

  • Calm - This aura grants defensive effects, such as spike damage, damage reduction, or total evasion, triggered by certain arts. It helps enemies become harder to damage, making them more resilient in battle.
  • Enraged - This aura boosts the enemy's stats, increasing their strength and aggression. It activates when an enemy’s health is low or when a specific appendage is destroyed. Some enemies may also gain bonus effects depending on their species. The aura fades after some time, but certain species cannot enter this state.
  • Aware - This aura enhances offensive abilities, often providing effects that increase the enemy's damage output or effectiveness in combat. It is activated by specific arts and makes enemies more dangerous.
