Prologue: Awakening Walkthrough
Step-by-Step Walkthrough

| 1 |  After waking up, Elma joins as a party member. Follow the marker indicated on the map to trigger a cutscene. |
| 2 |  A battle begins, requiring you to fight alongside Elma against an Origin Blatta. You can either let Elma handle most of the fight or actively participate to get familiar with the battle mechanics. |
| 3 |  After the battle, Elma asks if you want a job. Nod to accept her offer, then continue moving forward. Examine the nearby wreckages for Treasures along the way. Be prepared for battles, as Level 1 and 2 monsters roam the area. |
| 4 |  Upon reaching the marked location, another cutscene plays. You'll then have the option to either jump down to the shore or take the high road to the east for a safer route. Dropping down is the faster choice, and although enemies are present, they are not hostile and won’t attack you. |
| 5 |  Continue forward to the next quest marker at West Gate Plain. Upon arrival, another cutscene triggers, followed by a battle against one Elder Grex and two Callow Grexes. |
| 6 |  Focus on defeating the Elder Grex first, as it deals the most damage. Once it is down, turn your attention to the Callow Grexes. The enemies frequently use charged attacks with large hitboxes, so dodge to the sides instead of retreating backward. Avoid drawing too much attention to yourself, let Elma initiate the fight so that enemies target her, while you deal damage from a distance. |
| 7 |  After the battle, continue forward. The gate ahead is locked, so take the stairs to the left. At the top, use the lift to cross to the other side. Proceed to the final quest marker to trigger the last cutscene of the prologue. Consider saving your game afterward. ▶ Chapter 1: New Los Angeles |
