Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

Best Division to Join in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

Add to Watchlist

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition - Divisions

There is no best Division or Faction choice as Divisions do not affect gameplay in Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. Learn what divisions are for, what divisions rewards are, and how to join them in this guide.

Best Division to Join

Any Division for the Definitive Edition

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition - Division List

You can choose any Division as the choice does not affect gameplay in the Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X. The choice doesn't affect division rewards either.

Most of the mechanics related to divisions have been removed which includes Blade Level and Division support making the choice purely cosmetic.

Pathfinders for the Original Game

In the original game, the best Division to choose is the Pathfinders as they provide Division Points (DP) through exploration which you will be doing a lot in the early parts of the game.

Divisions also provide unique Support Effects that can activate at random during battle. If using this as a criterion in the later parts of the game, ultimately, the best choice depends on your character build.

Original Game Division Effects

Division Support Effect Descirption
Pathfinder HP Support Specializes in exploration, earning DP by discovering landmarks and installing data probes.
Interceptor Ranged Support Focuses on combat, gaining DP by defeating enemies and completing battle missions.
Harrier Melee Master Dedicated to Tyrant hunting, earning DP by defeating powerful foes.
Reclaimer Drop Sensor Excels at treasure hunting, obtaining DP by retrieving wreckage and valuable items.
Curator Critical Master Gathers DP by collecting blue collectible crystals and defeating Tyrants.
Outfitter Defense Support Supports Arms Manufacturers, earning DP by developing and upgrading gear.
Mediator R&D Support Focuses on side quests and affinity missions, earning DP by resolving NPC disputes.
Prospector TP Support Generates DP through mining and resource collection across Mira.

Your choice of Division provides both an effect that helps in combat and a way to earn Division Points to increase BLADE Level.

What are Divisions?

Purely Cosmetic In-Game Factions

Divisions

Divisions are factions in the game that expand the lore and world of Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. They represent the jobs of the different characters and what they are good at only for lore. Divisions do not provide and kind of buff or bonus gameplay-wise.

How to Get Division Rewards?

Redeem From Online Menu

Division Rewards

Having a chosen Division will provide Division Rewards daily which can be accessed from the Online Menu. Despite being on this menu, you don't have to be online to receive and acquire these rewards.

These rewards are consumables that can help in different ways, similar to the original game. What rewards you get are random, but the number of rewards you get is directly proportional to the number of allies you have unlocked. Meaning the more allies you have, the more rewards you get.

I suggest Prospectors because (Salvage Tickets) are going to be the bread and butter of the game.
