To auto run in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, press the Left Analog Stick while auto walking with R and B. Learn how to auto run and how to use it by reading below!

Press R and B, then Left Analog Stick

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition - Press R and B, then Left Analog Stick

First, you have to auto walk by pressing R and B. Then, sprint by pressing the Left Analog Stick.

This will make your character sprint continuously without pressing anything. You can still move left or right with the Left Analog stick to direct your character.

Press R and B again or hit down on the Left analog stick to stop auto running.

Combat Will Interrupt Auto Running

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition - Combat Will Interrupt Auto Running

While auto running, your character will not stop, even if they hit a wall. However, they will stop when a hostile enemy sees them and begins combat.

Try not to idle while auto running because you might accidentally kill your party.
