Moderately increase velocity when positioned toward the front on the third corner in the second half of the race. Or, kick forward hard when toward the front on the backstretch late-race. |
|---|
Kitasan Black's Unique Skill, Victory Cheer!, has two versions based on which activation requirement is met. The first is if she is in the top 2 during the second half of the race while on the third corner, and activating the skill this way gives her a velocity boost. The third corner is usually the first half of the last mid-race corner for Medium Races.
The second is if she is in the top 2 during the late-race while in the backstretch of the track, providing both a velocity and acceleration boost. The backstretch is usually the straight before the final straight in Long races, and where the late-race starts. Because of this, KItasan Black will experience the maximum acceleration effect possible.
As such, this skill shines brightest if used by a Front Runner in Long races, which Kitasan Black is designed to be.

Kitasan Black is one of the best parents for Front Runners, specifically those you plan to run in Long races. This is thanks to her Unique Skill Victory Cheer!, which gives a boost to both velocity and acceleration in backstretches, which is present in most Long races.
Pull for her if you own other Front Runners like Seiun Sky and Mihono Bourbon and want to strengthen them further for Long races by inheriting Kitasan Black's Unique Skill.
| Training Tips |
|---|
|
|

When training Kitasan Black, use the brand new Trackblazer (MANT) scenario, as this will allow you to get higher stats than before. Try to get at least 25 wins during your career runs, with more being ideal.
To increase the number of races she can participate in, as well as improve her chances of winning, we recommend getting at least 4 Mile sparks for Kitasan Black.
Trackblazer (Make a New Track) Scenario Guide
Try to improve Kitasan Black to Potential Level 4, as this gives you access to both Taking the Lead and Leader's Pride, both of which are good Front Runner skills in the early and mid-race, respectively.
Additionally, Taking the Lead can be used as a trigger for Groundwork alongside two other early race skills, allowing you to get even more acceleration.
Kitasan Black should be run as a Front Runner not only because of her A-rank aptitude for the running style, but also because of her access to numerous Front Runner Skills like Early Lead (and its upgrade Taking the Lead) and Leader's Pride.
Additionally, her Unique Skill Victory Cheer! activates when she is positioned toward the front, which is easier to achieve if she is running as a Front Runner.
It is important to improve her Long aptitude using Legacy Sparks to maximize her performance in both her career races and in Team Trials. Improving it from A to S would buff her Speed during races, allowing her to go faster.
Additionally, her Unique Skill performs best in Long races thanks to its backstretch requirement. Since most Long races will pass through the track's backstretch, Kitasan Black will be able to use the stronger version of her Unique Skill, which provides both velocity and acceleration.

Since Kitasan Black will be a Front Runner on your Long Team for Team Trials, she will need enough Speed and Stamina to maintain her speed and position throughout her long races. Focus on improving her Speed and Stamina, then improve her Power to help her acceleration. Getting at least two Gold Recovery skills like Swinging Maestro and Restless is recommended to help with her Long races.
If you are only planning to clear a career run with Kitasan Black, then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are for Team Trials.
Training Guide: Which Stats to Train?
For Kitasan Black's Support Cards, we recommend running a Speed-Stamina-Wit deck consisting of 2 Speed, 1 Stamina, 2 Wit, and 1 Pal card. This will help Kitasan Black with all of the stats she needs as a Front Runner in Long races. Alternatively, you can run a Speed-Stamina deck consisting of 3 Speed, 2 Stamina, and 1 Pal card. This deck is easier to use and is recommended for those who are still learning the new Scenario.
Due to the nature of the Trackblazer (MANT) Scenario, it is important to prioritize cards with high Race Bonus. Additionally, you can replace the Riko Kashimoto (Planned Perfection) in both decks with a Stamina card if you find yourself having a hard time improving Kitasan Black's Stamina.
This deck consists mostly of SR cards and free SSR cards, and are meant for players who do not have many SSR Support Cards. Despite the lower rarity, this deck can still hold up and perform well in the latest scenario. Take advantage of the game's borrowing feature to borrow strong MLB SSR cards, like Super Creek (Piece of Mind).

These cards will help Kitasan Black level her needed Stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), as well as provide some needed skills. Try to prioritize cards with a high Race Bonus, as you want at least 50% Race Bonus in your deck.
If you plan to run the Unity Cup, we recommend using either a Speed-Power deck or a Speed-Stamina deck to help Kitasan Black get the stats she needs.
Unity Cup (Aoharu Hai) Scenario Guide
If you plan to run the URA Finale, we recommend using a Speed-Stamina deck to help Kitasan Black get the stats she needs.

For Legacy Sparks, we recommend getting Stamina and Power sparks to help her get the Stamina and Power she needs for her races. If you find yourself having a hard time training your Stamina, you can switch some Power sparks for Stamina sparks. As for running style and length, get Front Runner and Long sparks to help Kitasan Black perform better in Long Team Trials.
If you are training in the Trackblazer scenario, we recommend getting at least 4 Mile sparks so Kitasan Black can participate and win in even more races.
You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.

Since Kitasan Black is a Front Runner, she will benefit from skills that allow her to get to the front and keep her position. Taking the Lead will help her accelerate to the front early, and can be used to activate Groundwork alongside Focus and Front Runner Savvy. Other Green Skills can be used based on what race you want to use her on.
Once she enters the mid-race, velocity skills will help her keep her position. This includes corner skills like Front Runner and Long Corners, as well as Corner Adept. Fast Paced, Playtime's Over!, and Leader's Pride are other velocity skills that can help Kitasan Black keep her place.
As for recovery skills, you will want at least two for her Long races. Swinging Maestro will be your best pick, although other Recovery Skills like Restless can also work.
If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Kitasan Black can activate said skills in a race.
