Stat Scrolls (+15) and Manuals (+7) are the best items you can get. Use them immediately after purchasing, as there are no additional benefits to saving/hoarding them.
|
Base Cost: 280 Acquires Fast Learner. |
Provides Fast Learner, which offers a 10% cost reduction in acquiring skills. Use it as soon as you buy it since the effect is permanent for the entire run. Know that it is expensive, sitting at a base of 280 coins. This is equivalent to about 3 1st-place race wins. But only if you can earn enough for it before it leaves the shop.
|

Vita drinks and the Royale Kale Juice are best bought immediately and saved for valuable training turns, such as in the period of Summer Camp. Good-Luck Charms are turn savers for giving 0% failure rate, and are most helpful in letting you train at low or even 0% energy.
Cupcakes are best used as combo items for the Royal Kale Juice. They may also be used in emergencies where you can't quickly restore your trainee's mood back to Great.
Base Cost: 70 Training stat gain +60% for 2 turns. Base Cost: 50 Increases training effectiveness by 50% but raises energy used by 20%. Base Cost: 50 Increases training effectiveness by 50% but raises energy used by 20%. Base Cost: 50 Increases training effectiveness by 50% but raises energy used by 20%. Base Cost: 50 Increases training effectiveness by 50% but raises energy used by 20%. Base Cost: 20 Rearrange the Umamusume appearing in training. |
Empowering Megaphone (60%) is the best megaphone item saved for strong training opportunities, such as in Summer Camp or on a turn where a big stat boost is present (such as lots of rainbow training). Ankle Weights are best combined with a megaphone to get the most gains out of training.
Reset Whistles are best bought immediately and saved for turns where you want to align partners for stronger training.
Base Cost: 40 Race Stat gain +35%. Base Cost: 20 Race stat gain +20%. |
Cleat Hammers are only active for 1 turn and should be used in a turn where you participate in a race. Best used in G1 races and TS Climax races.
Save the 20% hammers for G1 races, and at least 3 35% hammers for all 3 races of the TS Climax races, since they give the most rewards for each stat. If you have more than 3 35% hammers, you can use the rest on G1 races.
|
Base Cost: 40 Supports' Friendship gauges +5. |
Grilled Carrots are best used early on in a career for building friendship bonds with your Support Cards to enable Friendship Training at orange friendship (80+ bond level). You'll want to build as many bonds with them as soon as you can, since more frequent races in career lead to fewer opportunities for growing bonds in training.
|
Base Cost: 55 Training stat gain +40% for 3 turns. |
The Motivating Megaphone is the best secondary training booster item that grants 40% increased training effectiveness. Get and use these if you can't obtain the Empowered Megaphones (60%).
|
Base Cost: 40 Cures all bad conditions. Base Cost: 15 Cures Skin Outbreak. |
Miracle Cure and Rich Hand Cream are the best cure items you can use. Rich Hand Cream is best used to protect your trainee from Skin Outbreak, which can lead to a stat and mood drop event from frequent racing. Miracle Cure is best as a backup to this and any other negative condition.
You can use these items as a way to safely extend your racing chain, such as those that involve 4 races or more.
|
Base Cost: 150 Speed training level +1 Base Cost: 150 Stamina training level +1 Base Cost: 150 Power training level +1 Base Cost: 150 Guts training level +1 Base Cost: 150 Wit training level +1 |
Training Application items are best used early on, when they are available and only if they are affordable. Summer Camp already sets all facility levels to 5, so it's best to use these applications with the intent of better stat-building in free turns (non-racing).
|
Base Cost: 40 Training stat gain +20% for 4 turns. |
The last megaphone option you'll want. The Coaching Megaphone only gives 20% training effectiveness and takes up 4 turns (needs to expire to use another megaphone). Not recommended unless you don't have other training options.
|
Base Cost: 15 Race fan gain +50%. |
Glow Sticks are only recommended if you are trying to farm fans in a run. They are best used in fan-heavy G1 races (such as the Arima Kinen or Japan Cup) or the TS Climax races where a lot of fans are rewarded to first place wins.
|
Base Cost: 15 Cures Slow Metabolism. Base Cost: 15 Cures Slacker. Base Cost: 15 Cures Migraine Base Cost: 15 Cure Night Owl. Base Cost: 15 Cures Practice Poor. |
Other cure items are not recommended to buy and save since Skin Outbreaks will be the more common negative condition. Best to use the Miracle Cure, the Recreation option in Summer Camp, or the Infirmary option instead on a free turn. Feel free to buy, however, if your trainee has a negative condition and a matching cure appears on the shop.
|
Base Cost: 10 Speed +3 Base Cost: 10 Power +3 Base Cost: 10 Stamina +3 Base Cost: 10 Guts +3 Base Cost: 10 Wit +3 Base Cost: 30 Increases Max Energy by 4 and restores Energy by 5. Base Cost: 50 Increases Max Energy by 8. Base Cost: 150 Acquires Practice Perfect ◯ Base Cost: 150 Acquires Hot Topic. Base Cost: 150 Acquires Charming ◯. Base Cost: 10 Director Akikawa's bond +5. |
Notepads give small returns for their cost and drinks increasing the energy cap don't help as much as direct energy. With the exception of Fast Learner, other positive conditions don't have a huge impact for their cost, and building bonds with the director is frequent enough through races to justify not buying Cat Food.

Effects do not stack when two of the same item types are used; the item with the strongest effect takes priority.
Similarly, items that last multiple turns do not stack and cannot be overwritten, so it is recommended to use the higher-tier version of these items instead of the cheaper, but lower-tier ones.
It is ideal to buy certain items early and use them as soon as they are bought to gain an advantage during the career scenario. These items are:
Energy Restoration |
Stat Building |
Always aim to get items that restore energy, such as Vita, for later training use. One of the more prized items in this category is the Royal Kale Juice, which restores 100 Energy at the cost of 1 Mood.
The mood debuff can immediately be restored with a Cupcake, so there's almost no downside. Max Energy does not provide enough to compensate for the frequent energy drains from races, so focus on direct energy recovery instead.
For stat books, such as scrolls, we recommend at least you buy +7, and better if it gives +15, whenever they are affordable. It's best to avoid the ones that only give +3 due to their lower efficiency.
Improves General Training |
Improves Specific Training |
Re-orders Supports in Facilities |
Grants 0% Failure Rate |
Most of your serious training will be done during the Summer Camp period where all facilities are at level 5. Use Megaphones and Ankle Weights here to boost training effectiveness and maximize the stat gain.
It's also best to stack Friendship training on the stat you want, so you can use the Whistle to reroll the support card positions. Lastly, the Good-Luck Charm is great for training even if your energy is out since it reduces failure to 0%.
Raises All Support Card Bonds |
The Grilled Carrots item is great to use early on to raise Friendship with all support cards. Aim to hit orange (80+) by the first Summer in early July, so you can make the most of the training items listed earlier.
Increases Race Bonus |
Cleat hammers increase race bonus for the turn they're used. They're best used during the Twinkle Star Climax as their stat boosts will be more significant there. Try to save up three gold ones by then.
For regular cleat hammers, you can use them on G1 and G2 races since these give more skill points per win.
Increases Race Bonus |
Of the condition items that can show up in the Pro Shop, the best one to obtain would be the Scholar's Hat which gives Fast Learner. Fast Learner gives a discount on learning skills. Note that this item is expensive, sitting at a base of 280 Shop Coins. You'll have to save up a worth of 3 first-place wins.
