What is Spot Struggle?

New Mechanic in the Half Anniversary

Spot Struggle is a new mechanic that was be introduced in the Balance Adjustments (November 11, 2025) update for the Global Version. This was released during the Half Anniversary event.

The Spot Struggle system is tied to Front Runners (including Runaways) fighting for the frontmost position in the early-mid race and is part of the Guts rework.

How to Activate Spot Struggle

Front Runners Must Fight for First

Conditions
・During the early to mid-race
・Front Runners/Runaways must be close to each other
・Must have at least 2 runners of the same style
・Front Runners cannot contest against Runaways and vice versa

Front Runners or Runaway racers can activate Spot Struggle. This can be triggered in the early race up to the mid-point of the course when at least two racers of the same style contest for the Front position. During this time, all participants will gain extra Speed based on their Guts stat, but they will also consume more Stamina.

This cannot be triggered if racers are of different styles, such as a Front Runner being close to one using the Runaway style. The contest ends before entering the late race, near the half-way point of the mid-race.
