What is Fall Speed?

How fast a character falls after pressing down in the air

Characters have a speed when falling and fast falling. Typically, a character's speed increases by about 60% when they fast fall. Fast Falling is a technique where you press down on the control stick at the apex of a jump. This will allow the character to return to the ground quicker than normal.

How to Fast Fall

Fast-Fallers vs Floaties

Characters with high fall speeds are sometimes called Fast-Fallers, while characters with low fall speeds are called Floaty characters (or Floaties). Fast-Fallers are usually easier to combo, but harder to juggle, while the opposite holds true for floaty characters. Being floaty and not having any safe aerials usually means a character has poor disadvantage state, as they struggle to land.

I straight up thought a link was hacking I had no idea how he was fast falling so fast well I mean they usually camp so I didn't really know their fast fall but glad to know I can only blame myself now
