To start obtaining Cutting Edge materials, you first have to build the Cutting Edge Criminal Venture, which requires completing Body of Evidence and $400,000.

Take a Photo of Cutting Edge Material

After building Cutting Edge, start following its missions to photograph and unlock Cutting Edge materials. Once you've obtained your first Cutting Edge material, you can freely apply them to your weapons, clothes, and vehicles.

Modify Weapon Material at the Weapon Cache

To apply Cutting Edge materials to weapons, access your inventory at the closest Friendly Fire or Weapon Cache. Select the weapon you want to modify, click Customize, then open up the Material tab to apply the Cutting Edge material of your choice.

Apply Cutting Edge Materials to Vehicles

To apply Cutting Edge materials to vehicles, go to the closest JimRob's or Garage and open the Vehicle menu. Choose the vehicle you want to modify, click Customize, then open up the Paint Styles tab to apply the Cutting Edge material of your choice.

Apply Cutting Edge Materials to Clothes

To apply Cutting Edge materials to clothes, open the Style app on your Phone. Select the clothing type you want to modify, then open the Material tab to apply the Cutting Edge material of your choice.
