In this Criminal Venture, you will participate in Protection Racket activities, which sees you beating up the students of the Master of the Final Fist Dojo as you go from one business to another, extorting them for the First Strike's protection. These activities are all melee-based activities, seeing you battle enemies with a variety of weapons.
Each Protection Racket activity will have you comb through several lines of Final Fist fighters until you reach the "Boss" line of that area. Defeating all enemies will grant you access to the Management of the business/area, with a conversation with them marking the end of the activity.

This Protection Racket activity at a construction site in West Providencia arms you with a Sledgehammer. There are several "Tough" enemies here, and unfortunately the Sledgehammer's damage output is not enough to burn through their armor.
Use Flaming Punch instead to trickle away the Tough enemies' armor for easy kills with the Sledgehammer.

The Protection Racket in El Dorado will largely occur on the rooftop of one of the many casinos in the area. Unlike the racket in West Providencia, you'll be armed with a Crowbar this time around, shifting away from the Sledgehammer's slow strikes to the weaker – but faster – combos that the Crowbar brings.

You'll be armed with a Baton for this activity. It is comparable to the Sledgehammer in terms of how weak it is against the opponents you face here, although it has a faster attack speed. There will be more Tough opponents here, and with the Baton at hand, you'll have to rely on Flaming Punch more often than not to knock them out.

For this activity, you'll be armed with the powerful Smelterville Slugger, a baseball bat seemingly wrapped in barbed wire. This weapon helps reduce your reliance on Flaming Punch when up against Tough enemies, as melee strikes with it can easily chew through an opponent's "armor".

The last Protection Racket activity occurs shortly after completing your fourth racket. You'll receive a call from the Final Fist's "Master".
The activity occurs largely in the same manner as all the other Protection Racket activities, with the difference being the Master's appearance after defeating the final line of opponents in the area. The "Master" is, by and large, just a simple Tough enemy that you can knock out with one or two Flaming Punches.

After defeating the Master, head back to the First Strike to meet with it's own Master to finish this Criminal Venture. He can be found at the back of the large dojo, and can be reached through a pathway on the left of the dojo that leads up to where the Master is.
Throughout the various Protection Rackets that you play through, the number of "Tough" opponents will increase for every line of opponent you chew through in the activity. Most of the weapons that you're given for these fights are largely useless – apart from the Crowbar – and only effective against enemies that don't have armor to protect them.
Flaming Punch can quickly end a Tough opponent's life in one or two hits – you can even use it to interrupt your enemy's speeches if you want to!
