Running out of ammo in the 2022 reboot of Saints Row (Saints Row 5) can be a difficult situation to deal with. Read on to learn how to get more ammo by using perks, upgrades, and more!

The Ammo Scarcity setting in the Challenge Options menu determines how much ammo you receive from pickups. Consider tweaking this option if you often find yourself with low ammo while fighting rival gangs.
All Difficulty Settings and Differences
Another way to get more ammo is to upgrade your ranged weapons. Doing this increases their maximum ammo capacity and improves their other stats.
You can upgrade your weapons at the nearest Weapon Cache or Friendly Fire for $5,000, $25,000, or $100,000, depending on how many upgrades they already have.

The Scavenger Perk increases the amount of ammo you obtain from ammo boxes dropped by enemies, making it a great way to stay topped up with bullets in firefights. Pair it with Loot Grab to make picking up these larger ammo boxes easier and faster!
