Note that you only need to find 14 out of 21 unique materials from Edith's vision journal to complete this Criminal Venture.

This Venture mission sends you to a motel in the Marina East district, where Edith's vision journal speaks of a hypnotic inflatable dictator on a balcony.

The journal entry refers to a hypnotizing statue on one of the balconies near the motel's pool. Open up your phone and use the Camera app to take a picture of the hypnosis material to complete this Venture mission.

Take a Nap to Advance the Time

If you want to complete this Venture mission, but it is currently daytime in your game, take a few naps on the bed inside the Church to advance the time. You can find the bed on the ground floor of the Church, close to the garage.

The journal entry refers to the lava pool flowing between two large hot sauce bottles. Head to the left side of the factory to find the lava, then take a photo of it to obtain the lava material and complete this Venture mission.

Cutting Edge Tips and Strategies

Follow the Hints on the Map Screen

Hovering over the Venture mission icons on the Map screen shows the journal entry for each material, which contains a hint toward its location. These hints are often literal and easy to understand, so always refer to them if you have difficulty finding the object to photograph.

Use a Vehicle With an Off-Road Kit

Many Venture missions for Cutting Edge require you to reach faraway off-road locations to find new materials. Make traveling through the desert easier by using a vehicle with an off-road kit. You can purchase off-road kits for your vehicles at JimRob's or inside your garage.
