Atticus Marshall is the CEO of Marshall Defense Industries. Although he presents himself as a kind, respectable gentleman in their advertisements, he's the complete opposite. Atticus only cares about the success and reputation of his company and is willing to ruthlessly expend people's lives and livelihood for his own goals.

Marshall Defense Industries Background

Private Security Firm

Marshall moved their HQ to Santo Ileso in the 1980s when they acquired several major defense contractors in the region. Though most of their business is international, they have many local clients–banks, casinos, museums, shopping centers, as well as city and county governments—for whom they provide private security and related services.

International Influence and Power

Marshall Defense Industries holds international influence and power, having government contracts across the globe as stalwarts of the Cold War military-industrial complex.

Their mercenary teams provide clients with black-ops, wetworks, and… well, “war crimes” is a strong word, but it’s not entirely inaccurate. Their army of lawyers is just as deadly in the boardroom as their soldiers are on the battlefield.

Technologically Advanced Faction

Marshall Defense Industries can confidently claim the edge in any conflict they get involved in thanks to the technological advances being churned out by their R&D department.

Of the three main rival factions in Saints Row, they hold the most cutting-edge military weapons, vehicles, and technologies.

Immaculate PR and Marketing

Private security works as both a revenue stream and as good marketing for Marshall Defense Industries. After all, Santo Ileso isn’t the most stable of cities; if Marshall can’t maintain peace in their own home town, how can they convince international clients they can maintain peace in an occupied territory?

This means that the security services Marshall provides for local businesses… aren’t always entirely voluntary. The line between “private security” and “protection racket” can be pretty thin.

None of this, of course, is the face that Marshall presents to the world. Thanks to Marshall’s relentless PR team, they have a sterling public reputation as investors, innovators, peace-keepers, and civic-minded philanthropists. That’s their story, and they’re sticking to it. At gunpoint, if necessary.
