How to Customize Your Weapon

Go to Friendly Fire Stores

Customization for weapons can be accessed by going to any Friendly Fire store. Once you've purchased the weapon, customization options such as changing colors or applying decals will become available.

Complete Take Me to Church

While weapon customization will be available from the game's start, you'll unlock the full range of options upon completing the mission Take Me to Church. Completing this gives you access to the HQ and its Weapon Cache.

Go to Your HQ's Weapon Cache

Once you've completed Take Me to Church, you'll gain access to the HQ's Weapon Cache where you can also customize your weapons. However, you won't be able to upgrade or purchase new weapons from here.

The Weapon's Cache can also be accessed in Friendly Fire stores.

Weapon Customization Options

Signature Abilities

Once you've unlocked a weapon's Signature Ability, you can toggle it on or off in the customization menu. These abilities increase the capabilities of weapons by giving them new traits such as bullets that deal AoE damage, armor-piercing rounds, and lifesteal.

Purchasing an Upgrade option increases all of a weapon's traits such as its damage and fire rate. You can upgrade weapons three times, but you'll need to level up to access each upgrade option. Upgrading weapons can only be done at Friendly Fire, it's not accessible at the HQ.

Visual Mods

Visual Mods allow you to change or transmog the entire look of a weapon while maintaining its stats. These Visual Mods can also use the same customization options as the standard look of the weapon. They're great for making combat wackier, such as when you fire missiles out of a guitar case.

More visual mods can be unlocked by progressing through the Main Story, completing Side Hustles, and other activities.

Materials

Completing Cutting Edge Criminal Venture missions is the only way to access Material options. These change what a weapon's made of and make them more distinct.

Colors

You can select from a wide variety of colors for your weapon, or even make custom ones using an RGB range. While you can use one color for the entire weapon, you also have the option to choose each weapon part's color.

Surface Options

Surface Options affect the weapon's texture, as you can change each part's glossiness or metallicness using sliders. If you want to give your weapon a more weathered look, you can change these options to make it rustier.

Weapon Decals

Weapon decals let you place preset designs on your weapons. These can vary from graffiti art, stickers, color highlights, and more.

Similar to Visual Mods, more decals can be unlocked by completing Main Story missions, Side Hustles, and other activities.

Weapon Patterns

You can cover your weapon with patterns of logos such as the Saints icon or even the symbols of rival gangs.

Pattern Details

Once you've decided on a pattern, you can customize their color, size, the weapon parts they appear on, and more.

Reset Customization

You can reset all your weapon's changes if you're unsatisfied or just want to give it a brand new look and start from scratch.
