Assimilation Refill is a new feature in Warzone 2's Battle Royale and DMZ game modes where players can invite enemies to their squad or join their party. Read on to learn more about Assimilation Refill and how to team up with enemy players!

Warzone 2.0 - Squad Up With Enemy Players

Assimilation Refill is a new mechanic introduced in Warzone 2 that allows you to invite enemy players to expand your squad in Battle Royale and DMZ. This is a useful feature as a solo player as you can team up and join the party of enemy squads to increase your chances of winning the game!

The maximum limit for inviting players will still depend on which playlist you're currently playing — Quads will only allow up to 4 players, Trios up to 3, and duos up to 2 players in a team. Due to the nature of Assimilation Refill, this feature is disabled in Battle Royale Solos.

Inviting Enemy Players to Your Squad

Warzone 2 - Invite Enemy Players to Your Squad

To add or invite enemy players in your party while in-game, you should be within the vicinity of another player. You can simply ask them if they want to join your squad by using the Proximity Chat feature. Here's how you can invite them:

  • Hold down the Ping button to bring up the Ping-Wheel Menu.
  • Select the Invite Nearby Players to Join Your Squad option.
  • Wait for nearby enemy players to receive the invite notification and accept the request.
  • Once they accept, they are added to your squad for the remainder of the game session.

If you're a solo player looking for a large group to join in, you can request to join another squad instead of inviting them one by one. Requesting to join an enemy team is the same process as inviting enemy players:

  • Hold down the Ping button to bring up the Ping-Wheel Menu.
  • Select the Request to Join Nearby Enemy Squad option.
  • Wait for a nearby enemy team to receive your request to join.
  • Once they accept, you'll be added to their team and you'll be able to see their names in your HUD and Tac-Map.
