Players have the chance to change their names using Username Change Tokens in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2). Read on for the detailed steps on how to change your name in-game and on the Activision official website!

How to Change Your Name

Change it In-Game or Official Website

There are two ways of changing your name in Modern Warfare 2. You can edit it through the Activision settings in-game or by logging in to Activision official website.

Note that you can only edit your name using a Username Change Token, which you can get every six months. You are also allowed to carry up to two tokens at a time.

Changing Your Name In-Game

How to Change Name
1 Press or click on the Options while on the home screen.
2 Find the Account Tab and select the Activision Account.
3 Input your desired name and press Confirm to change the display name.

First, login to your Activision account from their website.

Look for the Basic Info and click on it.

Next, find the Edit button next to your Activision ID.

There will be an account verification that'll pop-up. Press on the Send Code button to get a one-time verification code.

Get the one-time code from your email account.

Go back to the account verification screen and enter the code.

After entering the code, go back to the Basic Info screen and start editing your name.

Press the Save button, enter your password, and then click Submit to finalize your new name.
