The Standard Edition is only available on the PC. Priced at 69.99 USD, it can be purchased from either the Steam storefront or Battle.net. The MW2 Standard Edition includes the base game along with the following bonuses when pre-ordered:

Cross-Gen Bundle (Xbox & Playstation)

The console version of the Standard Edition is the Cross-Gen Bundle priced at 69.99 USD. These can only be bought from the Microsoft or Playstation storefronts for the Xbox and Playstation consoles, respectively. This unique bundle will allow players to play the game on older generation consoles such as the PS4 and the Xbox One.

The exclusive Vault Edition is priced at 99.99 USD and is available for all supported platforms. However, do note that bonuses vary between each platform, with the Playstation consoles (PS4 & PS5) having the most bonuses when pre-ordering the Vault Edition.

Note: The Final Judgement & Khaled Al-Asad Operator Bundles are for CoD Vanguard/WZ, while the Ghost Legacy Pack is for MW (2019) and WZ only. To redeem these bonuses for a Steam version, you will need to link your Activision account to both Steam and Battle.net.

Purchase from the In-Game Store to Get Double XP Bonuses

If players purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition from the in-game store of either Modern Warfare (2019), Vanguard, or Warzone, they will receive 10 hours worth of Double XP and Double Weapon XP Tokens for use when MW2 launches!

Physical & C.O.D.E Editions (Xbox & Playstation)

Alternatively, players can purchase Physical Copies of the game from select retailers at 69.99 USD. However, do note that this will only be the Standard or Cross-Gen Edition since the Vault Edition is digital only.

The PS5 Edition is not cross-gen compatible. Additionally, this version of MW2 requires the disc to be inserted in order to play.

Select retailers will also be selling a special physical copy of MW2 called the C.O.D.E Edition. Purchasing this has a portion of the proceeds go to the Call of Duty Endowment Charity.

Purchase the Game Before October 28, 2022

Content for CoD MW, Vanguard, & WZ Needs a Linked Activision Account

In order to redeem the Ghost Legacy Pack, Final Judgement Bundle, and Khaled Al-Asad Operator Bundle on Steam (PC), players will need to have an Activision Account. Link the account to both Steam and Battle.net in order to redeem the rewards for previous titles that are only available in Battle.net.
