How to Get Leather

Acquire Leather From Tannery

Leather can be produced by a “Tannery” using Hides.

Construct Tanneries Near Hunting Camps or Goat Shed Extensions

Leather is a resource which can be converted from Hides, so it is recommended that you establish Tanneries near any constructed Hunting Camp or Goat Shed Extension in your settlement. This will help streamline the production of Leather.

Leather can be used to produce the following items using the Cobbler's Workshop.

After you've constructed a Cobbler's Workshop in your settlement, you will be able to convert Leather into Hides.

Cobbler's Workshops Require You to Raise Your Burgage Plots to Level 2

A Cobbler's Workshop Backyard Extension will require you to raise your Burgage Plots to Level 2 in order to be built. Once you've constructed it, all Settlers working on the workshop will be converted into Artisans.
