Scenario Template In-game Description
Rise to Prosperity Premise
Fulfill the requirements of your citizens, plan and rule your medieval town as you see fit, without worrying about combat.
Victory Conditions
Reach the "Large town" settlement level. After that, you may choose to continue in the endless mode.
Restoring the Peace Premise
Two territories in the north are claimed by the illegitimate Baron whose castle is located on top of the map. Bandit camps reside in the other, unclaimed regions.

Build and expand at your own pace. When ready, challenge the Baron for the northern territories.
Victory Conditions
Conquer every region.
On the Edge Premise
Grow your city and raise forces as quickly as you can. The lands are pestered by raiders and undefended settlements will quickly perish.
Victory Conditions
Survive all the attacks and reach the "Large town" settlement level.

The Scenario Templates will determine the overall setup of the game and the guidelines you need to follow in order to finish it. Additionally, the game setup can still be changed to your preference after you've selected a Scenario Template.

Underground Water Well placement can only happen above underground water

None Weather only factors in-game as an aesthetic feature
Balanced Weather might affect crop earnings and droughts
Difficult Weather will drastically expose game to frequent thunderstrikes, droughts, and rains

The options for the game setup are determined by the Scenario Template and Template Difficulty you've chosen at the start of the game. Once established, you can choose the options yourself according to your preference.

Relaxing Difficulty for First Time Strategy Builder Players

For those new to the strategy, builder genre, the Relaxing Difficulty is a great way to start the game and familiarize new players with the in-game mechanics.

Default Difficulty for Medieval Strategy Enthusiasts

The Default Difficulty is recommended for those who have dabbled with the genre before, and for players who are generally fans of medieval strategy games. Those who are acquainted with this genre should opt for this difficulty.

Challenging Difficulty for Medieval Strategy Afficionados

Players who are looking to test their mettle with the strategy, builder genre should choose the Challenging Difficulty. This difficulty raises the stakes of the game that will force players to step out of their comfort zone and play the game.

How to Change Difficulty Options?

Difficulty Options Only Accessible at the Start of Game

You will only be able to gain access to the difficulty options of the game by starting a new game in the starting menu and choosing the template difficulty of your choosing.
