How to Limit Work Area

Limiting your work area can be done in two easy steps:

1. Go to Advanced, then Click “Limit Work Area”
2. Adjust the Size of the Work Area

Go to Advanced, Then Click “Limit Work Area”

Not all buildings will have this function, as some buildings already have a dedicated area to work on. This function is best used however with the Woodcutter's Lodge, Logging Camp, and the Forester's Hut.

Adjust the Size of the Work Area

Using your Control key and the Mouse Wheel, you can set the size of the work area to be as small or big as you need it to be. Once you are happy with the size, click on the left mouse button to set the new work area.

Benefits of Limiting Work Area

Concentrated Work Area

Setting a limit on the Work Area of Woodcutter's Lodges and Logging Camps can help you monitor how much of your forest has been cut down. Not setting a limit on these two buildings could lead to rapid deforestation. In the same manner, setting a large area for the Forester's Hut gives it a better chance of repopulating deforested areas.
