The King's Road is the major road network that spans the entirety of the map. As a pre-existing road, you are free to use the King's Road to connect the buildings and resource deposits in your settlements.
However, the King's Road cannot be removed, and can only be connected to with roads.
Additionally, the King's Road also serves to facilitate trade in all 8 regions of the map. Traveling Merchants can be found using the King's Road, looking to trade their goods.
Upon creating a Trade Route with a Trading Post, Traveling Merchants will use the King's Road to visit your Trading Post monthly.
Once established, make sure that your Trading Post always has a clear connection to the King's Road.
Trading Post and Trade Routes Guide
If your settlement is far from the King's Road, you can connect to it by creating a road that links to any of its sections.
Once your settlement is ready for trade, we recommend connecting your Trading Post and Livestock Trading Post to this road.
Sometimes, you may get a message that your settlement and Trading Post are disconnected from the King's Road, even if both are connected by a road. The publisher, Hooeded Horse, is aware of the issue, and we will update this section once a fix is announced.
