Bandits will only stop stealing resources once they are defeated. As with beating any enemy force, you will need to build up a strong army to defeat the brigands. Early on, you can equip militia with weapons and military resources or use your retinue.
Unlike raiders, bandits will stay at their camp until you approach them with your army. You can identify discovered bandit camps with a tent icon on the map. As soon as your army gets close, they will group up to meet you on the battlefield. After you win the battle, you're free to walk up to the bandit camp and conquer it.
All Recruits and Best Unit Types
If you're having trouble dealing with bandits, you can reduce the number of bandits that spawn by lowering the number of initial bandit camps and the random bandit camp spawn limit during Game Setup. These two settings can be lowered down to None and 0 respectively, where bandits will never spawn.
Game Setup and Difficulty Options
Once you've defeated the enemy bandits, you'll simply need to click on the bandit camp with your army selected to conquer it. After it's been removed, you'll be rewarded with money that can go to the regional wealth of the nearest town or your treasury, depending on your choice.
You can check where a Bandit Camp is located by either clicking the bandit notification at the top of the screen or by zooming out to the full map and looking for a tent icon.
Unfortunately, any resources stolen by bandits cannot be gained back. Since the only way to prevent stealing is to remove bandit camps, you'll need to swiftly deal with them with your army to prevent losing more resources.
