How to Increase Influence

Influence is a resource used for diplomacy and claiming regions in Manor Lords. See how to get Influence and know what it is used for in this guide!

How to Get Influence

You can get Influence through four different methods:

1. Defeat Bandits and Raiders
2. Construct Manors
3. Impose a Tithe
4. Upgrade the Church

Defeat Bandits and Raiders

Conquering Bandits and Raiders is the best and earliest way of getting Influence. You will have to raise up an army and give them weapons, but every time you defeat a unit of 16 Bandits, you will receive 320 Influence.

If you conquer a bandit camp, you also get a monetary boost to either your closest region's Regional Wealth or your Treasury, depending on your choice.

Construct Manors

Another way of getting influence is to construct manors. Building a manor in a settlement immediately grants 250 Influence.

When you settle in a new region, do not forget to build 5 Burgage Plots to reach the settlement size of a Small Village and unlock the option to construct a Manor.

How to Build and Use the Manor House

Impose a Tithe

After building your first Manor, you can impose a Tithe in your city. It can be as small as 1%, but as that number grows, so too does the influence you get. Even though it says that a percentage of Food will be given to the Church, you don't need to build one to enact a Tithe.

Upgrade the Church

Once you've built a Church, all that's left is to improve it. Improving the Wooden Church to a Small Stone Church also gives you 250 Influence.
