How to Get Hides

Acquire Hides from Hunting Camp or Goat Shed Extension

Hides can be produced by a “Hunting Camp” using Wild Animal Deposits. Some resources can be produced by alternative backyard extensions. In this case, a “Goat Shed” can also produce Hides.

Construct Hunting Camps Near Wild Animals

It is recommended that you construct Hunting Camps near forest areas labeled as Wild Animal Deposits. These areas are swarmed with with animals that can be hunted down by assigned families in your hunting camps.

Build Goat Shed Extension From Level 1 Burgage Plot

You could also try building a Goat Shed backyard extension to any of your Burgage Plots. The Burgage Plots only need to be Level 1 so you could build the Goat Shed without worrying about leveling up the plot.

How to Use Hides

Crafting Material for Leather

Hides can be used to produce the following items using the Tannery.

After you've constructed a Tannery in your settlement, you will be able to convert Hides into Leather.

Produce Shoes With Converted Leather

You will also be able to produce Shoes once you've converted your Hides into Leather, which increases your supply for clothing and provides comfort for your citizenry.

You can produce Shoes by building a Cobbler's Workshop Backyard Extension to any of your Level 2 Burgage Plots.
