Barley can be harvested as a Crop from established Fields in your settlements.

It is recommended that you make a field plot to harvest various crops, and build a Malthouse nearby to streamline the process of converting Barley into Malt.

How to Use Barley

Crafting Material for Malt

Raw Material → Production Building → End Product
・Barley → Malthouse
 → Malt

Barley can be used to produce the following items using the Malthouse.

After you've constructed a Malthouse in your settlement, you will be able to convert Barley into Malt.

Use Converted Malt to Produce Ale

You can also use your converted Malt from your Malthouse to make Ale, which can be produced by constructing Brewery Extensions in your Level 2 Burgage Plots.

How to Make Ale: Info and How to Use

Brewery Extensions Require You to Raise Your Burgage Plots to Level 2

A Brewery Extension will involve leveling up your Burgage Plots to Level 2 in order to be built. Once the extension is done, all Settlers working on the brewery will be converted into Artisans.
