How to Use the Rod of Fishing

Capture Fish With the Rod of Fishing

Fishing from Hades 1 makes a return in Hades 2. Fish you catch can be traded for Bones, which in turn can be used to trade with the Wretched Broker.

When you see a ripple in a nearby pool of water, or when notified by the Reagent Sensing incantation, head to the water and press the Interact button.

New Fishing Minigame

A new minigame appears in the game as part of the fishing mechanic where you will have to press the fishing button when the bait hovers over the target.

When the minigame starts, a set of orbs will appear below your screen. This signifies the number of fishing attempts you have before the fish gets away from your bait.

There has been no indication that the minigame will reward you with rarer fish or increase the number of fishes caught, as it simply makes the fishing mechanic more challenging.

How to Fish Using Toula

Bring Toula to Fish on Command

Soul Bond	While together, have a 25% chance to manifest Fishing Points.	While together, have a 50% chance to manifest Fishing Points.	While together, have a 75% chance to manifest Fishing Points.

Once you've gained Toula as a familiar, you can access her Soul Bond ability that makes Fishing Points appear more often. Furthermore, Toula will be able to capture Fish on command, allowing you to prioritize another tool instead.

Simply walk next to a Fishing Point and hit the interact button to have Toula catch a Fish for you without playing the minigame.

Before you can reveal Gathering Tools in the Silver Pool, you must first complete the Night's Craftwork incantation. You will need 1x Moly for this incantation, which you can find in Erebus when it is not raining.

How to Equip the Rod of Fishing

Interact With the Silver Pool to Prioritize

Once you have crafted the Rod of Fishing, it is automatically equipped. Thus, Melinoe can use it anytime to catch fish she encounters on Locations.

Furthermore, you can have Melinoe prioritize the Rod of Fishing to make Fishing Points appear more often. To prioritize, walk next to the Rod of Fishing and press the Interact button.
