Early Access for Hades 2 is now available for purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store for $29.99 as of May 7th, 2024.

The scope and contents of Early Access for Hades 2 include the following:

Five Weapons to Wield

Hades 2 - Five Weapons to Wield

As of Early Access, there are five playable weapons: Witch's Staff, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, Moonstone Axe, and Argent Skull. Each weapon has its own distinct play style and multiple Aspects like in the first game.

A sixth weapon is planned and expected to drop in a future update.

There are currently two final bosses that conclude a run, Chronos in the Underworld and Eris in the Surface.

Apart from the final bosses mentioned above, there are four additional bosses, bringing the total count to six bosses.

Each boss and mini-boss encounter is carefully crafted and already fleshed out but may receive some tweaks depending on player feedback.

Six Regions to Explore

Hades 2 - Seven Regions to Explore

There are a total of six regions currently available, four in the Underworld and two on the Surface. Underworld runs are attainable with its regions completed, while Surface runs abruptly end at the second region.

Each region features a unique way to progress that complements its distinct theme. There is also a seventh region, Asphodel, tucked away in a random event.

As of Early Access, there are over 50 enemies scattered over all the regions in the game. Each foe has an entry in the Book of Shadows containing information about them.

Unfinished and Placeholder Assets

Some characters still have missing or unfinished portraits, and all Keepsakes have placeholder art.

Other assets, such as enemies and certain environmental objects, are also unpolished and will receive touch-ups soon.

As stated in the Steam Store Page, Hades 2 is expected to be in Early Access development until the end of 2024.

WIth the amount of content that Hades 2 currently has, Early Access is expected to be much shorter than the first game's which lasted about two years.

First Early Access Patch

The first Early Access patch is expected to drop sometime in May 2024.

It should include changes to resource gathering, as well as Melinoe's dashing and sprinting. The developers are also considering implementing the first round of balance changes, which is likely to include slight number tweaks certain Nocturnal Arms and bosses.
