Upon soothing Cerberus from its Infernal State, Cerberus will run back inside Tartarus in search of Hades. Following suit, Melinoe will discover that Tartarus has been remade in the image and likings of Chronos.

Tartarus maintains the mechanical inner workings and traps it had from the first game. Be careful of spiked traps that activate when stepped on!

Hades is the Allied NPC that Melinoe can encounter while running through Tartarus. He offers a variety of boon effects, but a common theme around some Boons, like Old Grudge, is centered around dealing with Chronos himself.

Hades II - Chronos

Chronos, the Titan of Time is the main antagonist of Hades 2. As vengeance for her family, Melinoe will stop at nothing to hunt Chronos down, even if he is a deathless Titan.

How to Beat Chronos

Warden of Tartarus, Verminancer

Hades 2 - The Verminancer Verminancer

Verminancers are one of of the two minibosses that Melinoe can encounter in Tartarus. It attacks in melee range, and can summon a large horde of vermin for you to deal with.

If this happens, remember to use your Cast to give yourself some breathing room against them.

Warden of Tartarus, Goldwrath

Hades 2 - Goldwrath Goldwrath

The Goldwrath is the second possible miniboss in the Tartarus. Like the Verminancer, its attacks are in melee range, and the enemies that spawn with it can give you a bit of trouble.

We recommend staying close to the Goldwrath while avoiding its coins to avoid getting hit by rotating lasers within the room.

Enemies in Tartarus are aggressive, and will swarm you, and use tracking projectiles and area of effect attacks as much as they can. The Tempus, in particular, is dangerous as it can stun you within its range for a few seconds after it dies.

Like in the previous regions, stay on your toes, and use of your Cast as much as you can!
