How to Increase Max Magick Permanently

Unlock Arcana: The Titan

Using the Altar of Ashes allows you to unlock different arcana cards that grant you buffs when activated.

After unlocking the surrounding arcana, you may use 7 Ashes to spend on acquiring The Titan arcana which will permanently grant you an increase of 20 Max Magick capacity while filling up your Grasp gauge by 2, if you have it activated.

How to Increase Max Magick During Runs

Unlock Arcana: The Centaur

The Centaur arcana is unlocked with 25 Ashes and 1 Cinder. This allows you to gain 3 Max Magick for every 5 rooms that you pass. This arcana has the Awakening condition which requires you to have arcanas with a Grasp of 1 through 5 activated in order for it to work.

Soul Tonics are the newest addition to Hades 2 alongside the Magick Bar. Once consumed, it provides an additional 30 Magick capacity on top of your Magick Bar's base stat. Similar to the Centaur Heart, this effect will stack upon consumption until your run ends.

Magick is used for unleashing Omega Moves that deal more powerful blows to enemies. Having greater Max Magick becomes useful in situations where you may not have any passive Magick gain available, so it is wise to have a fount of it.

Increase Max Magick For Omega Attacks, Boons, and Hexes

The most common use of Magick are for your Omega attacks, which deplete a set amount from your Magick Bar. Additionally, there are Boons that enhance your attacks in exchange for Magick, like Breaker Sprint from Poseidon which causes enemies to be knocked back when ran into, and costing 5 Magick per hit.

Having a higher amount on your Magick Bar will also be important for when you gain a Hex from Selene as it requires you to deplete a set amount of Magick before its effects are triggered.
