You can unlock new areas and features in the Crossroads through Incantations in Hades 2. Read on to learn more about the Crossroads locations, unlock priority, and more in this guide!
List of Contents

New areas within the Crossroads are unlocked through Incantations. You can view and craft Incantations by interacting with the Cauldron.
Incantations have different unlock requirements, usually entailing you to do something or obtain something during your runs. Once you unlock an incantation, you must then craft the incantation using the required materials.
Best Incantations to Get First
While there are multiple facilities available within the Crossroads, we recommend unlocking the following first to aid you during your runs.

Prophecies should be unlocked first, due to the amount of rewards it can give you just for progressing the game.
The Prophecies are fairly easy to accomplish, and reward you with Bones, and other useful Reagents for crafting.
Why Didn't Fated Intervention Work?

Soil Plots should also be unlocked early on, especially once you have crafted the Silver Spade.
Greeneries are mainly used in crafting, and is a necessity if you plan on exploring the surface.

After getting a few runs in and defeating some of the bosses, the Warded Gateway is your first step towards unlocking the surface.
The surface features new areas and resources, which in turn is used to unlock new weapons and incantations.
