Note: The order of Keepsakes within the same tier are not indicative of their overall usefulness.
Keepsakes like the ones given by the Gods (except Artemis) provide consistency for your runs making them easier to build around.
Other higher tier Keepsakes give offensive or defensive upgrades up front, allowing them to fit with most builds.
Some Keepsakes are rated lower because you need to fulfill or play around certain conditions before they are activated.
For example, the White Antler needs you to be at low health to activate the added crit chance, and you'll have to make little to no mistakes to avoid an untimely return to the Crossroads.

---|---|---|---|
With the exception of Artemis' Keepsake, all God Keepsakes make their Boons more likely to appear, thus mitigating RNG. Their Keepsakes can also rarify Boons, essentially providing direct upgrades. These Keepsakes make it easier to craft builds for your preferred Boons and play style.
Transcendent Embryo | Gain a random Common Chaos blessing once this night. Every 8 Encounters, replace it. |
The Transcendent Embryo gives you a random Chaos Boon every few encounters without the negative effects, making it a good starting Keepsake.

---|---|---|---|
Silver Wheel | After you use Magick, restore it over 3 Sec., up to a total of 1000 Magick this night. |
The Silver Wheel provides Magick regen during combat, allowing you to perform more Omega Moves and keep up the offensive. This should help you clear encounters more quickly and sustain minimal damage.
Luckier Tooth | After you fall to 0 Life, automatically restore 51 Life once this night. |
The Luckier Tooth acts as a pseudo-Death Defiance by restoring Life when it falls to zero. It provides a safety net for added survivability and does not consume a Death Defiance charge.
Death-Defiance is a revival mechanic that brings you back to life when you run out of HP. It can also be stacked. allowing you to revive multiple times in one run.
Aromatic Phial | Fountains restore +20% Life. The next makes 1 random Common Boon of yours Rare. |
The Aromatic Phial increases the Life restored from fountains, in addition to also increasing the rarity of your next Common Boon. This makes the Aromatic Phial a versatile choice as it provides survivability and more firepower.
Concave Stone | After choosing a boon, 25% of the time randomly take 1 more, once this night. |
The Concave Stone gives you a chance to take an extra Boon once per run. This is a recommended choice before starting a run, especially if you get lucky enough to proc it early on.
Once you've received your extra Boon, replace this with another Keepsake, preferably one that aids you in combat.
Experimental Hammer | Gain 1 random Daedalus Hammer that lasts for 10 Encounters. |
The extra Daedalus Hammer comes in handy at all stages of a run, even more so at the later Locations.
Switch to this Keepsake just before the fight with Chronos to hammer in the final nail in his coffin.

---|---|---|---|
Knuckle Bones | The next Guardian loses -5% Life. You take -15% damage from Guardians. |
Knuckle Bones shaves 5% off from the upcoming boss' Life and adds more survivability with its damage reduction against bosses.
This is a good pick up if you're still learning the game and trying to memorize boss patterns.
Gold Purse | Gain +100 Gold Crowns once this night. |
The Gold Purse immediately adds Gold Crowns for your run that can be used as you see fit, but you are still at the mercy of RNG with the shop selection.
How to Get Golden Crowns and How to Use
Silken Sash | Gain +20 Armor. While you have at least 1 Armor, gain +2 Armor after each Location |
The Silken Sash grants armor and gains charges for every cleared Location as long as it's not depleted.
If you play earlier encounters perfectly, it's possible to accumulate a huge stack of armor and plow through a boss fight.
Metallic Droplet | You move, strike, and Channel 20% faster for the next 200 Sec. |
The Metallic Droplet increases your move, striking, and Channel speed for the next few seconds.
Ideally, you should already have a powerful build to make the most out of it and you'll be fighting a boss or elite shortly.
Blackened Fleece | After you take 250 damage, your Omega Moves deal +20% damage. |
Conditional Keepsake that requires you to take damage before you can activate the increased Omega Move damage, making it difficult to use in high Fear level runs. Consider if you're using an Omega Moves-heavy build.
Oath of the Unseen Guide: Easiest Fear and Vows
Crystal Figurine | After the next Guardian, activate 1 random Arcana Card. |
Activated Arcana is RNG-dependent. Potentially useful when doing a run with the Judgment Arcana.
Best Arcana Cards to Unlock First
Discordant Bell | After each Encounter, you deal +0.5% damage, but also take that much more. |
Grows powerful throughout a run, but can also work against you. Recommended for speedrunning.
Lion Fang | Deal +30% bonus damage, but lose 5% of this after each Encounter. |
Provides a massive damage boost that degrades for every cleared room. This Keepsake could provide the bit of damage you need to push through if you're lacking.

---|---|---|---|
Moon Beam | You gain +1 upgrade(s) for your Hex from the next Path of Stars you find. |
The Moon Beam provides more upgrades to your Hex Boons, but you'll need to run into Selene during your run. Otherwise, this Keepsake has no beneficial effects for you.
Evil Eye | Deal +20% damage to the last foe that vanquished you. |
Needs some set-up to benefit from the increased damage.
If you're struggling against a specific boss, the Evil Eye could provide that extra bit of damage to help you overcome that wall. It could also be effective for speedrunning when you intentionally let a common enemy vanquish you!
Engraved Pin | After you fall to 0 Life, become Impervious for 10 Sec. If no foes, remain, restore 30 Life. |
The Engraved Pin is similar to the Luckier Tooth in that it also provides a pseudo-Death Defiance effect. However, it has an additional condition that you need to clear all enemies during the encounter for it to take effect.
Ghost Onion | Whenever you exit a Location, fully restore your Life, up to a total of 50 Healing this night. |
The Ghost Onion heals you after every encounter up to a cap for every run. This is ideal for newer players who are still trying to get familiar with enemy attack patterns.
White Antler | While you have no more than 30 Life, you have +20% chance to deal Critical damage. |
The White Antler provides a massive boost to your overall damage, but you'll need to play around its condition of staying at low health to benefit from it.
This is a recommended pick up if you're confident with your evasive skills and can end fights quickly.
