How to Unlock the Pitch-Black Stone
Activate the Abyssal Insight Incantation
To unlock the Pitch-Black Stone in the training area, you'll need to chant the Abyssal Insight Incantation by obtaining the required materials listed below.
- Fate Fabric x2
- Pearl x2
- Moly x2
- Nightshade x2
How to Unlock Abyssal Insight Incantation
Speak With Chaos Over Multiple Runs
The exact requirements and conditions for unlocking the Incantation are still unclear.
Based on our playthroughs, the Abyssal Insight Incantation became available after meeting the following conditions, while speaking to Chaos at every opportunity over multiple runs.
- Give Chaos 1 Nectar.
- Journey to the Surface and succumb to your bloodline's curse.
- Lift the curse by chanting the Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation (requires planting an Origin Seed).
- Have enough interactions with Chaos.
Despite what other sources say, you don't need to unlock all Nocturnal Arm Aspects or give Chaos additional Nectar to unlock the Chaos Trials.

Challenge Runs With Predetermined Loadout
Chaos Trials are special challenge runs that require you to use a specific loadout. Chaos Trials have different difficulties as indicated by the open eyes to the right and reward Star Dust for your efforts.
Note that resources and materials cannot be obtained in Chaos Trials!

Unlock Weapon Aspects
You can unlock more Chaos Trials by unlocking more Aspects for your Nocturnal Arms. These trials are meant to get you accustomed to different play styles.

Chaos Trials are a consistent source of Star Dust which is used in various Incantations and Arcana upgrades.
How to Increase Grasp and Equip More Arcana
Visions of Victory Prophecy
Right after unlocking the Pitch-Black Stone, you'll fulfill the Visions of Victory prophecy in the Fated List, which rewards you with 80 Bones.
