List of Contents
These constellations are essentially a skill tree that taps into the full potential of your chosen Hex from Selene. Each Hex you select will come with its own Path of Stars equipped with unique enhancement nodes that cater to your Hex's abilities.
Selene Guide: How to Use Hexes and Synergies
Once you have selected a Hex from Selene, the next rooms bearing Selene's sigil will have stars surrounding it. This is a clear indication that clearing the encounter will grant you access to the Path of Stars.
The Path of Stars allows you to increase your Hex's potency by unlocking the nodes throughout the skill tree. Unlocking these nodes will grant you boons that power up your Hex's overall ability.
There are three types of nodes you can unlock in the Path of Stars: Common nodes, indicated by a grey border, Bright nodes, indicated by a blue border, and Sublime nodes indicated by a purple border.
Common nodes will grant minor stat upgrades to your Hex while Bright and its stronger counterpart Sublime nodes, will yield you additional abilities, similar to Boons, on top of your Hex's already established ability.
Path of Stars Points | |||
---|---|---|---|
Keepsake | Crescent Moonglow | Half Moonglow | Full Moonglow |
None | 3 | 4 | 5 |
Tier 1 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
Tier 2 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
Tier 3 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
If you're looking to enhance your Hexes as early as possible, consider equipping Selene's keepsake, Moon Beam, as it grants you additional points on top of the bonus points or lack thereof that your Hex's Moonglow provides.
Do note that, if for example, you were to choose a Hex with Full Moonglow and have Selene's Keepsake equipped, these point additions are only applicable on your first Path of Stars and every consecutive Path of Stars that you may encounter will only grant you the base points of 3 to spend.
That is, unless, you choose to equip Selene's keepsake between a region; In which case, the points granted by Moon Beam will be carried to the next Path of Stars, but will no longer be applicable to the other Path of Stars found henceforth.
With all of the Path of Stars considerations in mind, it's always optimal to choose a Hex, regardless of its ability, with Full Moonglow.
Doing this will allow you to upgrade a subjectively bad Hex's potency to Sublime as soon as possible and increase its utility by virtue of having more nodes to unlock; therefore granting it power that rivals a subjectively good Hex, as opposed to getting a subjectively good Hex with only Cresecent Moonglow.
