Fields of Mourning is the third region of the Underworld in Hades 2. See an overview of Fields of Mourning, the available resources, allied NPC's, and enemies and Bosses you can fight in Fields of Mourning in this guide!
List of Contents
After passing through Oceanus, Melinoe will arrive in the Fields of Mourning, where the broken-hearted dead reside. The size of each room is noticeably larger, and you may find yourself lost without the Reviving a Mournful Husk incantation.
The Fields of Mourning has pits that spew out slow, red gases that slow down and depress Melinoe for a few seconds. It also features a lot of environmental traps with heart-shaped trees that shoot out thorns when hit, thorn bushes, and statues that Melinoe can use against enemies.
Myrtle (Picked Up) |
Wheat Seeds (Silver Spade) |
Glassrock (Crescent Pick) |
Soby (Rod of Fishing) |
These are all the resources unique to Fields of Mourning. Make sure not to miss collecting them with Gathering Tools if you need them for incantations and other recipes!
Each Tool Required for Each Resource
Echo is the Allied NPC that Melinoe can encounter while running through the Fields of Mourning. Similar to how echoes work, her offerings give you the last reward that you have received, or powerful stat buffs (Health, Magick, Dodge, etc.) that get weaker over time.
Bosses of Fields of Mourning | ||
---|---|---|
Guardian | Infernal Cerberus | |
Wardens | Phantom | Queen Lamia |
Cast out of Tartarus by Chronos, Cerberus has turned into Infernal Cerberus, affected by the environment and shades that surround him in the Fields of Mourning. Melinoe must fight and free Cerberus from his Infernal state before she can proceed into Tartarus.
Phantom |
Phantoms are one of the two minibosses that Melinoe can encounter in Fields of Mourning. We recommend taking out the swarm of Blight-Shades that spawn with the Phantom first, then employing a hit and run tactic to survive against its powerful melee attacks.
Queen Lamia |
The Queen Lamia is the second possible miniboss in the Fields of Mourning, spawning in the center of the location with 4 other Lamia circling the Queen. We still recommend thinning out the numbers of the enemy first, to avoid the number of tracking, lightning attacks that come your way before defeating the miniboss.
Enemies | Sorrow-Spiller | Blight-Shade | Blood-Shade | Bloat-Shade |
---|---|---|---|
Bawlder | Smacker | Holeheart | Mourner |
Canine | Lycaon | Lamia |
Similar to the enemies in Oceanus, enemies in the Fields of Mourning will tend to swarm you, and complement their assault with area of effect attacks and projectiles. Continue to include your Cast in your attacks, and you should have no problem dealing with and evading them.
