Hades 2 - When Does the Game Save?

Auto Save is the primary method the game saves your progress. You can tell the game has recently been saved if the Hades Icon, the red Two-Pronged Spear icon encircled by a green Witch's circle, appears on the upper right-hand of your screen.

How Does Auto Save Work?

Automatically Saves in Each Location

Hades 2 - Hades Save Icon in Location

Similar to Hades, the game saves each time you enter or clear a Location. You can freely quit the game without fear of losing progress for the region you are in.

Cannot be Turned Off

Unlike other games, Hades 2's auto save cannot be turned off in the game's settings. Thus, you cannot manually save either.
