How to Unlock Hera
Appears Eventually After Reaching the Surface
You will encounter Hera soon after your first visit to the Surface. This can be done by performing Permeation of Witching-Wards Incantation, which requires a Cinder, a Moly, and a Shadow.
After reaching the Surface, you might need to complete a few more runs before Hera shows up at the first Location in Erebus.

How to Get Hera's Legendary Boon

To meet the requirements for Hera's Legendary Boon, we recommend getting Sworn Strike first, then Born Gain, into a Dying Wish boon.
This boon build path offers the best synergy leading up to Brave Face, dealing high multi-target damage, while offering Magick Recovery to constantly use Brave Face.

At the first instance that you give an offering of Nectar to Hera, you'll receive the Iridescent Fan Keepsake in return.
You can equip this keepsake by the Silver Pool before every night to increase chances to receive Boons from Hera, as well as an option to rarify her boons.

Playstyle
Hera's Boons can be considered some of the best Boons that you can get in the game. She can inflict a curse that links enemies an makes all afflicted receive a portion of the damage taken by one of them.
She can also upgrade your Cast so it deals damage to incoming enemies regardless of where they pop up in the room, making Hera an excellent choice for clearing non-boss Encounters fast.
Provides a Massive Magick Pool
One of the best Boons from Hera (and probably in the entire game) is the nigh infinite Magick from Born Gain. This Boon completely replenishes Magick whenever it runs out at the cost of Priming small portion of it.
The Magick Primed by this Boon gets restored after entering the next Location.
Synergies
Hera's upgrades synergize really well with any weapon, especially her Born Gain Boon. This Boon allows you to spam Omega Moves and Hexes as long as you avoid Priming your entire Magick bar.
Her Hitch curse are best used with weapons that can easily hit multiple enemies like the Umbral Flames and Moonstone Axe as they can both apply the effect and deal damage to groups at the same time.

Afflicts the Hitch Curse

Hera can apply the Hitch curse on enemies using some of her Boons. This curse doesn't work when there's only one enemy around, so it's not recommended against Bosses.
Applying Hitch on at least two enemies links them. If one of the cursed enemies take damage, all other enemies linked will also take part of the damage.
