Hades 2 - Armor Guide
In Hades 2, Armor grants you defense from attacks and has the same effect for enemies. Learn how to get armor and how to break enemy armor in this guide!

How to Break Enemy Armor

Armored Enemies are indicated when their Health Bars are colored yellow. This acts as the Armor Bar you will have to deplete before your damages take effect. Note that enemies with an Armor Bar cannot be interrupted or staggered until it is fully gone.

Repeatedly Attack Armored Enemies

The only way to break enemy armor is by depleting it through attacks. Certain strategies may differ depending on which enemy you face, so use your actions wisely in order to limit damage taken.

Damage Moving Armored Enemies by Holding Them Down

For armored enemies that are mobile, we recommend using a combo of Cast to hold them down, followed by a barrage of Attacks. Doing this ensures that you are able to focus on dealing constant damage to their armor while limiting their movements.

Damage Stationary Armored Enemies with Omega Attacks

Some enemies remain in a singular spot throughout the entire fight, needing you to close the distance in order to deal damage. For this, we recommend utilizing your Omega Attacks as they deal larger amounts of damage which assures faster rate at which Armor is depleted though, be mindful of your Magick Bar.

Select Boons that Deal Extra Damage to Armored Enemies

Some Boons grant you enhancements that deal extra damage to armored enemies like Hephaestus' Molten Touch which gives a 20% bonus to your Attack and Special when damaging armored enemies.

How to Get Armor

Item How to Get
ArmorArmor ・Acquired from Arachne
・ Acquired as Boon Effect
・ Purchased from Charon

You can acquire armor from one of the dresses that Arachne offers you alongside some buffs that help you during your run, or purchase it for 40 Golden Crowns from Charon's Shop which grants you a randomized amount of Armor for every purchase.

Note that when selecting a dress from Arachne, any buffs granted to you will be dispelled once your armor is depleted.

What Does Armor Do?

Armor grants you an extra bar on top of your health bar that mitigates incoming damage instead of subtracting it from your health points. Use this to increase your defenses and take damage without worrying about your Life Points.
