Icarus Boons and Gameplay Tips

Playstyle

Like Artemis, Icarus can randomly appear in Surface Encounters and assist you in the fight. He will continuously bombard the stage and deal 1000 damage to enemies where his blasts land.

The Encounter reward will appear after all enemies are defeated and you can talk to Icarus as well to receive a Passive Boon from him.

Icarus also offers various buffs, like increasing Special damage, Life recovery and random Boon upgrades after completing a certain number of Locations, and Armor that activates a parting effect when broken!

Synergies

Icarus's Boons are general upgrades for your kit and can synergize with Boons from other gods regardless of your build. You will, of course, benefit more from his Boons by choosing upgrades for Moves that you use most frequently in your setup.

Icarus Curse and Effects

Icarus doesn't afflict any curse with his Boons nor have a specialized effect like most gods. Instead, he upgrades your attacks and Armor so that they trigger additional effects when used (for attacks) or when broken (for Armor).

Relationship with Icarus

Receive the Experimental Hammer Keepsake

At the first instance that you give an offering of Nectar to Icarus, you'll receive the Experimental Hammer Keepsake in return.

You can equip this keepsake by the Silver Pool before every night to receive a random Hammer upgrade for your current weapon that lasts for several Encounters.
