Hephaestus Boons and Gameplay Tips

To meet the requirements for Hephaestus' Legendary Boon, we recommend getting Volcanic Strike or Volcanic Flourish first, then Heavy Metal, into a Furnace Blast boon.

Since Hephaestus' Legendary Boon affects your Weapon's Aspect, the choice between Volcanic Strike or Flourish depends on your weapon, but Heavy Metal and Furnace Blast are must-haves, since it provides great defensive and offensive properties, regardless of weapon equipped.

At the first instance that you give an offering of Nectar to Hephaestus, you'll receive the Adamant Shard Keepsake in return.

You can equip this keepsake by the Silver Pool before every night to increase chances to receive Boons from Hephaestus, as well as an option to rarify his boons.

Playstyle

Most of Hephaestus's Boons are especially made to increase survivability, with the rest adding an instance of AoE damage or delayed burst damage on your attacks.

Due to the Blast Boons having long cooldown, Encounters may take longer especially if these are the only power-ups you have. Hephaestus's defensive buffs would do you well in such situations.

Synergies

Hephaestus's defensive buffs and Blast Boons can be used regardless of the build or playstyle you've decided to use.

However, these will be more useful when using melee weapons as you will always be close to enemies and be more prone to getting hit.

Hephaestus Curse and Effects

Unleashes Blasts on Hit

Attacks empowered by Hephaestus's Blast Boons inflict AoE damage on hit. This effect goes on cooldown after each use.

The Attack or Special icon on the left side of your screen will glow if its Blast effect is ready.

Afflicts the Vent Curse

Enemies with the Vent curse will receive additional damage after a short delay. This curse is applied to enemies through the Blasts from your other Boons.

Grants the Impervious Buff

Hephaestus's Mint Condition Boon grants the Impervious status on Melinoe at the start of each Encounter, making her invulnerable for the duration of the buff.

This allows you to focus on attacking and not worry about enemy attacks for as long as the shield is up.
