How to Beat Charybdis

How to Beat Charybdis

Focus on One Tentacle at a Time

Charybdis' main body cannot be damaged, and the spawned Tentacles instead take damage for Charybdis. Each tendril acts as a separate enemy, but the damage they receive all count towards Charybdis' total HP.

While attacking different Tentacles at a time may seem like a good idea to speed up the battle, defeating one at a time is your best option to not worry about dodging too much.

Attack Tentacles From Behind

Charybdis' Tentacles launch attacks in the direction they are facing (with the exception of the spin move), so constantly moving behind them means putting yourself out of harm's way.

The Tentacles are small enemies, so it should only take you one dash to get behind them.

Stay in One Corner to Recuperate

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the Tentacles, you can run to a corner of the arena, where there are no tentacles.

The tentacles mostly have melee attacks, and their Harpoon Attack has a short range, so it should not reach you from afar.

These two Daedalus Hammer upgrades bring out the most damage output from the Sister Blades with +200% backstab damage, and an extra +400% damage on your Omega Attack.

When attacking the tentacles, use your Omega Attack first to get behind it, dealing extra damage with Backstab, while also avoiding most of the Tentacles' attacks.

All Daedalus Hammer Upgrades

Hera Boons for Hitch

Hera's Boons will be beneficial with its Hitch curse. This allows you to apply hitch on all active tentacles to damage them all at the same time.

Hermes Boons for Slowing Projectiles

Hermes' Hard Target slows down enemy projectiles, which includes the Tentacles' Harpoon attack and Charybdis' homing orbs.

Getting a 40% Projectile Speed Slow effectively nullifies Charybdis, since its orb attacks will not reach your platform at all.

Aphrodite Boons for Boosted Damage against Nearby Foes

Lastly, Aphrodite's passive boons that amplify damage done to enemies that are nearer to you. Giving you more incentive to keep the fight close, and always try to go for backstab damage.
